The Build Process

Communication is essential, especially if you are not present during the construction period. We conduct weekly cost-tracking and progress meetings. We also provide weekly progress pictures, schedules, and work completed information regarding your project. This information is posted on your individual web site for your review.

Phil Smith personally acts as Project Manager on every home the company builds. He works together with the architect, interior designer, and on-site superintendent to ensure the coordination of all the project team members. He conducts an initial site evaluation, oversees the estimating and value engineering process, scheduling, construction and final completion of the home.

Over the past three decades, we have worked with many of the finest architects, engineers, interior designers, and lighting consultants in the country. We can assist you with the selection of any of these project team members.

We are equally particular about your subcontractors, most of which we have worked with and relied upon for years. The same holds true for our vendors and suppliers. We work only with professionals who share our commitment to excellence. Single-source responsibility: it installs confidence and peace of mind for you while building your custom home.

We offer and encourage a site evaluation of the property you are considering or have purchased. This evaluation will help determine the ideal building site and to make you aware of local building code mandates and planned community restrictions. We cover aspects such as drainage, sun exposure/orientation, views, best ingress and egress, soil conditions, and ways to take advantage of the terrain and natural formations on the property.

With our site evaluation, you will obtain information in a few hours that otherwise might require several weeks to learn.

Value engineering enables us to control costs without compromising quality or incurring unnecessary delays. We are able to value engineer designs, modifications to your home at the most cost effective stages of construction without expensive change orders.
